Lady Gator Tournament Rules

        
Game Rules:

The Home team is the first team listed on the schedule and is responsible for the official book.

  • Two 16-minute halfs - stop time. Note: when a team has at least a 20 point lead during the last 5 minutes of a game, running time will be used. Running time will stop only if the lead goes under 20 points and will resume if the lead exceeds 20 points.
  • No 30-second clock
  • There will be 10-second back court violations
  •  3 timeouts per game
  •  5 minute warmup
  •  5 minute half time
  • Teams will shoot 2 shots on 10th team foul (no 1and 1 for 7 fouls)
  • Overtimes: 1st overtime will be 3 minutes with 1 30-second timeout. 2nd overtime will be sudden death: first to score wins.
  • Foul shots are played after the ball hits the rim
  • There will be 2 certified referees per game
Team Rules:
  • Each team is to bring a set of pinnies that is different in color from their uniform.
  • Each team MUST provide a scorekeeper and book.
  • Teams must clean their own bench area
  • Each team is responsible for bringing their own balls
  • Only players and coaches listed on the roster are allowed on the bench
  • Players are not allowed to wear any jewelry

Only water will be allowed on the gym floors at all sites No gum, bottles, cans of soda, Gatorade, or food will be allowed on gym floors.

PLEASE NOTE:
ALL TEAMS MUST BE AT THEIR ASSIGNED GYMS 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED GAME TIMES AND MUST BE READY TO PLAY 5 MINUTES AFTER THE PREVIOUS GAME HAS ENDED.
WE GENERALLY RUN AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, SO PLEASE COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE REQUEST.
